St. Cecilia Music Center places the highest priority on the health and safety of our concertgoers, artists, guests, patrons and students. In compliance with the current Stay Home Stay Safe order, SCMC is taking the following steps to help control the spread of COVID-19:

SCMC’s historic building will remain closed through Friday, May 29. All staff is currently working remotely and can best be reached via email. Contact information for each staff member can be found here.

We have an amazing 2020/21 Season planned and will be announcing the concert lineup to the public on Tuesday, May 12. Our hope is to have concerts in the fall as planned. However, due to the changing restrictions surrounding COVID-19, tickets for the season will go on sale July 1. This delay will allow us to make any adjustments to the current concert schedule as we learn more about future social distancing guidelines. Mark your calendar for all the great shows you want to attend and we will remind you when tickets are on sale on July 1!

Currently, we plan to resume all education programs in Fall 2020. Should we not be able to do so, we will be in touch with participating students later in the summer to communicate changes to the program and schedule.

Youth and Adult Ensembles: All rehearsals and performances for SCMC’s School of Music ensembles have been cancelled through the remainder of the school year. June auditions have been cancelled and the new dates are September 1-3 from 4:00-8:00pm. The fall semester will begin on Monday, September 14.

Summer Camps: The Stella Royce Piano Camp and the Grand Rapids Chamber Music Program have been cancelled for 2020.

Music Clubs: We plan to have Festival Cup activities wrapped up by June 15, at which time piano teachers will be contacted so that they may retrieve trophies for distribution to their students. The Fall Kick-Off Meeting is scheduled for September 25, 2020 from 4:15-5:15.

We appreciate your commitment to and support of SCMC and know you are with us as we take steps to ensure the health and safety of our audiences, patrons, employees and entire community.
