When participating in one of SCMC’s School of Music ensembles, there can be a lot of information to keep track of. On this page, you should find everything you need to ensure you stay organized and informed throughout the year. Click on the appropriate button below or scroll down farther to find additional helpful information.
Auditions are required for youth ensembles. Students are placed according to their musical level and advance as their skills improve. Current students wishing to move up to the next ensemble level must audition and register for a spot in either June or September. If a student desires to move up between semesters, the student must be in the first or second chair place in January. If a student takes a semester off from ensembles, he or she must audition again to return to his or her current ensemble or to move up.
