In areas with substantial and high transmission, the CDC recommends that everyone (including fully vaccinated individuals) wear a mask in public indoor settings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, especially the Delta variant, and to protect others. To that end, SCMC will require all youth ensemble participants and conductors to wear masks at all times.

Wind players will exercise the “mask up/mask down” method and can take their masks down when physically playing their instrument. Wind players will be required to have PPE for their instrument, which SCMC will provide, if needed.

We will continue to monitor the COVID environment and may change policies at any time if necessary.

St. Cecilia Music Center’s Youth Ensembles offer a unique opportunity for students in Grades 3-12 to practice, perform and perfect their instrument of choice. An inspiring place for aspiring musicians, the School of Music offers weekly after-school rehearsals during the school year with each semester culminating in a performance in Royce Auditorium.
